به گزارش ایرنا، رستم قاسمی در نشست توجیهی با سازمان منطقه آزاد كیش كه با حضور معاون اجرایی رئیس جمهور، مدیرعامل و معاونان سازمان منطقه آزاد كیش و مسوولان وزارت نفت در سالن اجتماعات سازمان منطقه آزاد كیش برگزار شد، افزود: تاریخچه مخازن گسترده گازی كیش به دوران قبل از انقلاب بازمی گردد ولی در آن سالها موفق به كشف گاز نشدند.

وی با اشاره به اجرای فاز اول این پروژه بزرگ توسط مهندسین شركت توسعه نفت(متن) تصریح كرد: در اواخر سال 90 پیمانكار پالایشگاه نیز انتخاب شد و كار ساخت این مجموعه نیز در بندر آفتاب آغاز شده است.

قاسمی همچنین از اجرای 90 درصد خط لوله گاز تا اتصال به خط هفتم سراسری خبر داد و خاطرنشان ساخت: برای اجرای فاز بعدی این پروژه با یك شركت خارجی توافقنامه امضا شده است و برای ادامه فاز های این طرح سرمایه گذاران دیگری هم پیدا خواهیم كرد.
